Lady Gaga is used to headlining world tours and Vegas residencies, but the super singer and fashion icon was headlining Amazon Prime Day this year, with the launch of a new beauty brand dubbed -- Haus Laboratories. The gender-neutral makeup line, which shares a name with the singer’s Haus of Gaga creative team, launched on July 15 morning as part of Amazon’s Prime Day event, which stretches out over two days this year and offers thousands of deals and promotions across the online retailer’s site.

 

 

The Haus Laboratories collection includes a number of “self-expression tools”, and the initial launch features a lip gloss, lip liners and a liquid shimmer powder, all available in a multitude of colors and shades. According to Amazon, the makeup line was created “to spread kindness, bravery, and creativity by providing tools for self-expression and invention.”

 

 

 

II: Sales and Categories of Amazon Prime Day

 

Prime Day this year is a 48-hour event, starting at midnight Pacific Time on Monday, July 15, 2019, and ending at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Amazon Prime Day as we know it is a global shopping event with sales surpassing those of the previous Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. Prime members can shop hundreds of thousands of deals sitewide, with new deals starting as often as every five minutes.

 

 

Amazon announced on July 17 that its 2019 Prime Day global sales exceeded 1.61 billion pounds. Prime members bought more than 175 million products during the event, covering almost all product categories, including electronic products, beauty products, fashion products, groceries, toys, furniture, daily necessities, school supplies and more.

1. US:

LifeStraws are portable, personal water filters that make non-potable water drinkable. This year, American Prime members rushed to stock up on LifeStraws, the demand was so high that the filters sold out frequently over the course of Prime Day.

Sony PlayStation Classic, Oral-B SmartSeries Electric Toothbrush, Shark Vacuum Cleaner.


Shoppers in the UK got nostalgic this Prime Day, jumping at a deal to snag the PlayStation Classic -- a miniature version of the original PlayStation launched in 1994 for about $20. Pre-loaded with 20 games from the original console, complete with two classic controllers, this set is sure to provide hours of old-fashioned fun.

In the United Arab Emirates, Prime members used Prime Day to stock up on household staples. Bottled water was the most popular purchase, with laundry detergent and toilet paper falling close behind.

Spanish shoppers loved the steep discount on these Hi-Fi Bluetooth headphones. While they were on a major discount for Prime Day which is rather at a low price. These pairs can only be found on Amazon’s international site, but they still ship to the US.

 

 

 

 

5. Singapore:

Meiji Fresh Milk, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Soft Drink, Kleenex Clean Care Bath Tissue.


July 15 and 16 brought Singaporeans great deals on some of their favorite beverages. The best-seller was Meiji fresh milk, which you actually can’t find on Amazon in the US, but you can find plenty of other yummy Meiji sweets as well as milk from a variety of brands.

 

 

 

 

6. Netherlands:

Mama Bear Diapers, SanDisk 128 GB Memory Card, Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Light.


Carts in the Netherlands were filled with diapers from Mama Bear, Amazon’s in-house baby brand. Other practical purchases, like memory cards and lightbulbs, also topped the list.

 

 

 

 

7. Mexico:

Prime members in Mexico went all-in on gaming deals. The Nintendo Switch, an innovative device that’s a handheld and TV-based console in one, was the most-purchased product. Coming in next on the list was an HP monitor, which can be used as a complement to the switch, or on its own.

 

 

 

 

8. Luxembourg:

JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth Portable Speaker, Tefal Jamie Oliver Stainless Steel Pan, iRobot Roomba 671.
This durable, waterproof speaker is a popular buy all year round, but it was the most popular this Prime Day in Luxembourg. Other home and tech purchases made the list, like stainless steel pans and robot vacuums.

 

 

 

 

9. Japan:

Happy Belly Water, Anker PowerCore 10,000 Mobile Battery, Pampers Premium Protection Diapers.
Prime Day in Japan was defined by utilitarian purchases. Water bottles topped the list, followed by a practical portable charger and diapers.

Beauty products were the most-bought items among Chinese Prime members. A Dove body polish topped the list, followed by a hydrating eye cream and an at-home hair removal tool.

A PlayStation 4 Slim bundle, which comes with two-hit games, was so popular on Prime Day that it's still sold out right now. It topped the best-sellers list in Canada, along with the popular LifeStraw and 23andMe kit.

 

 

 

17. Belgium:
OSRAM Smart+ Plug Zigbee Switchable Light Socket, SanDisk 128 GB Memory Card, Brita Water Filter.
A smart plug, which lets you control tech with your devices, was the best-seller in Belgium.
